Dr. Ashley Hunsuck was born and raised in North Carolina, where she attended Appalachian State University and she achieved her undergraduate degree in 2009. Dr Hunsuck’s interest in medicine was first ignited when she produced the Vagina Monologues at her alma mater and saw a real need amongst her peers for better women’s healthcare. She went on to attend medical school at Trinity School of Medicine in St. Vincent & The Grenadines, graduating in 2015. While at Trinity, she achieved the coveted Dean’s Future Physician Award.
Following medical school, Dr. Hunsuck performed her residency at Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon from 2015 to 2019, during which she was the first resident in that program’s history to achieve her Da Vinci minimally invasive robotic surgery certification. Dr. Hunsuck has joined our practice after a 3 year stint at Women for Women’ Health in Macon.
Along with her academic achievements, Dr. Hunsuck has extensive research experience as well as long list of honors and activities. Dr. Hunsuck is certified in Da Vinci Robotic Surgery, serves as a member of Georgia OBGYN Society, and as a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Hunsuck is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hunsuck enjoys traveling, laying on the beach, ballroom dancing, exploring world cuisine & wine regions with her husband, and playing with their boxer Roxanne.
