Gretchen joined Savannah OBGYN in 2013 after relocating from Atlanta, where she had practiced for more than five years. She attended the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) before earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia. While working as a labor and delivery nurse, Gretchen realized she wanted to build more meaningful, long-term relationships with her patients beyond a single 12-hour shift. While continuing to work full time, she completed her Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program and earned her master’s degree from Georgia State University in 2007.
Gretchen is passionate about educating her patients and ensuring they feel heard, supported, and validated. She believes in treating every patient the way she would want herself and the women in her family to be treated. She is board certified through the National Certification Corporation and is an active member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Gretchen is married and the proud mother of three boys. Her oldest attends Benedictine Military School, and her twins attend Hesse K-8 School. Outside of work, you will most likely find her at the soccer fields or pool cheering on her boys in their many activities and sports. In addition to managing a busy family schedule, Gretchen serves on the Board of Directors for Mary’s Place: Sexual Assault Center of the Coastal Empire, is the PTA Secretary for Hesse K-8, holds committee positions with Scouting America for both Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA, and fosters animals for Coastal Pet Rescue.
