Dr. Glen L. Scarbrough is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is affiliated with St. Joseph’s/Candler and Memorial hospitals. After receiving his medical degree at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, GA, he completed his residency and internship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. He is a member of the Georgia Medical Society, Medical Association of Georgia, Georgia OB-GYN Society, American College of OB-GYN, and Christian Medical and Dental Society.

“For me, the decision to become a physician was more a calling than a choice. It’s a privilege to care for my patients.”

For Dr. Scarbrough, a career in medicine is a family tradition. He credits the six years he practiced alongside his father before his retirement as one of the most rewarding parts of entering the profession. He treasures the opportunities he’s had to develop lifelong relationships with his patients and their families and to be a part of bringing new lives into the world on a daily basis.

When not caring for his patients, Dr. Scarbrough spends time with his wife and two beautiful daughters enjoying church, school activities, boating, hunting, and nightly gatherings around the dinner table.

I went struggling with a painful and serious complaint. This was my first ever appointment with any obgyn. I shared my concerns and fear and Glen Scarborough kept pushing birth control on me when it had nothing to do with my questions at hand. When I mentioned birth control made me gain weight he scoffed at me and fat shamed me. Mind you I am slightly over weight, but I am by no means obese. Like that should matter anyway. During the exam he was rough and didn’t communicate at all. I was confused. Scared and in pain. When I voiced my concerns he ignored me. He never spoke about my original complaints and he advised me that all of my issues were due to my eating habits and told me to stop eating so much fast food. I don’t eat fast food and even if I did that is not a good enough excuse to deny me medical care. Do not trust this office or this man!

I’ve never had a better doctor. He’s so easy to talk to, truly cares about his patients, doesn’t rush you out of appointments. Also love that he is strong in his faith. All of his staff are wonderful, kind, and helpful. Highly recommend him

I posted a good review before we were finished with the appt. My mistake as he and his nurse decided to discuss how the nurse "pops" her elderly cat "on the head" when it scratches her and he admitted that it sometimes "feels good" to hit the cats back when one of his cats does something to him. I am quite disturbed by these 2 individuals and hope they realize that hurting animals does nothing to their behavior but make it worse. He and his staff are thorough, but I won't be coming back based on that discussion.
