Dr. Bradley Newton was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia. He graduated with honors from the University of Georgia and earned his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah, Georgia. Following medical school, he completed his residency in Philadelphia at Temple University Hospital/Katz School of Medicine.
Dr. Newton is an ABOG board-certified OBGYN and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. His services include annual well-woman visits, cancer screening, family planning and birth control management, contraceptive implants and IUDs, infertility treatment, prenatal care, labor and delivery services, treatment of pelvic pain and urinary disorders, mental health, management of hormone replacement therapy, and menopausal symptoms.
In addition to routine gynecologic care and obstetric services, Dr. Newton has extensive training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. He performs a wide range of procedures, including diagnostic laparoscopy and hysteroscopy for the evaluation of pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, and infertility. Dr. Newton also offers surgical treatment for endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and uterine fibroids, as well as fertility-sparing procedures.
For patients seeking permanent contraception, Dr. Newton performs laparoscopic tubal sterilization procedures. He also specializes in hysterectomy procedures—offering minimally invasive laparoscopic and vaginal hysterectomy options tailored to each patient’s individual needs and recovery goals.
Dr. Newton’s passion for helping others led him to the medical field. “I enjoy the opportunity to maintain continuity of care with my patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, and to be able to offer a wide variety of therapies, including both medical and surgical treatment options” says Dr. Newton. More importantly, he is grateful for the role he has earned – to care for patients as their families begin and grow.
Dr. Newton’s wife, Dr. Danielle Mankin, is a primary care physician with SouthCoast Health. They returned to Savannah because of their love for the outdoors, the food, and living on the coast. When Dr. Newton is not caring for patients, you may find him boating, camping, or running in Forsyth park. In the Fall, you will probably find him in the thick of UGA football.
