Dr Smith practices obstetrics and gynecology and is affiliated with St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Mercer University and completed his residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. Dr. Smith is a founding partner and president of Savannah ObGyn, in practice since 1995, and has delivered around 6,000 babies in his career. He is also one of the most experienced DaVinci robot gynecologic surgeons in the area, having performed hundreds of robotic surgeries since becoming robot certified in 2011.
Dr. Smith and his wife Susan have four children, and he is a native of Valdosta, GA. Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, he serves on the Board of Governors of the Mercer University School of Medicine and is a member of the Society of Pro-Life Obstetricians. He has also been the recipient of the Reader’s Choice award for best obstetrician in Savannah on multiple occasions.
