Alan E. Smith, MD FACOG

Dr. Smith practices obstetrics and gynecology and is affiliated with St. Joseph’s/Candler and Memorial hospitals. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Mercer University, and completed his residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center. Dr. Smith has been in practice for more than 20 years and has delivered over 4,000 babies. He is also the most experienced general gynecology da Vinci surgeon in the region, having performed several hundred of these minimally invasive, robotic-assisted surgeries since 2011.

Dr. Smith and his wife Susan have four children. A native of Valdosta, GA, he has lived in Savannah since 1991. He received the Reader’s Choice award in 2015 for best Savannah area obstetrician.
